This privacy policy explain how IDationTech Inc., the creator, owner and manager of Socurely (“Socurely”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses and discloses information with Socurely (the “Service”), In addition, this Privacy Policy describes your rights and choices with respect to the personal information we collect.

Information that Socurely Collects

  • Personal information you may provide to us through the Service or otherwise includes:
    Business and personal contact information, such as your first and last name, email and mailing addresses, phone number, professional title and company name.
    Registration information, such as information that may be related to a service or an event you register for.
    Feedback or correspondence, such as information you provide when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise correspond with us online.
    geolocation information, such as when you authorize us to access your location.
    Usage information, such as any content you upload to the Service or otherwise submit to us, including information you provide when you use any interactive features of the Service.
    Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our activities, events, and publications, and any information you provide when you engage with our communications.
    Other information that we may collect which is not specifically listed here, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.
  • We may maintain pages for our Company on social media platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Instagram, and other third-party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • We may receive personal information about you from third-party sources, such as our business customers, marketing partners, publicly-available sources and data providers. Our use of any information obtained from our business customers is restricted by our agreements with those business partners.
  • We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction over time with the Service, our communications and other online services, such as:
    Device data,such as your computer or mobile device’s operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers (including identifiers used for advertising purposes), language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information, and general location information such as city, state or geographic area.
    Communication interaction data such as your interactions with our email, text or other communications (e.g., whether you open and/or forward emails) – we may do this through use of pixel tags (which are also known as clear GIFs), which may be embedded invisibly in our emails.
  • Some of the automatic collection described above is facilitated by cookies and other technologies. For more information, see our Cookie Policy. We will also store a record of your preferences for use of these technologies in connection with the Service.

How Socurely Use Your Information

Service Data will be used by Socurely in accordance with the applicable MSA, Customer’s use of Services functionality, and as required by applicable law. Socurely is a processor of Service Data and Customer is the controller.
In addition, We may use your personal information for the following purposes and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection:

  • To deliver the Service
  • To develop and provide additional features
  • To send emails and other communications
  • To send communications about the Service, including by sending you announcements, updates, security alerts
  • To comply with law
  • For billing, account management, and other administrative matters
  • To communicate with you by responding to your requests, comments, and questions

If Information is aggregated or de-identified so that it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, Socurely may use it for any business purpose. To the extent Information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law, it is referred to in this Privacy Policy as “Personal Data.”

How Socurely Shares Your Information

We may share your personal information with the following third parties and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, in other applicable notices, or at the time of collection:

  • Affiliates:

    • We may share your personal information with our corporate parent, subsidiaries, and affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Service providers:

    • We may share your personal information with third party companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Service (such as customer support, hosting, analytics, email delivery, marketing, and database management services).

  • Advertising partners:

    • Third-party advertising companies for the interest-based advertising purposes.

  • Partners:

    • We may sometimes share your personal information with partners or enable partners to collect information directly via our Service.

  • Professional advisors:

    • We may disclose your personal information to professional advisors, such as lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
    For compliance, fraud prevention and safety: We may share your personal information for the compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes.

    • We may disclose personal information in the context of actual or prospective business transactions (e.g., investments in Socurely, financing of Socurely, public stock offerings, or the sale, transfer or merger of all or part of our business, assets or shares), for example, we may need to share certain personal information with prospective counterparties and their advisers. We may also disclose some or all of your personal information to an acquirer, successor or assignee of Socurely as part of any business transaction (or potential business transaction) such as a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, and/or in the event of bankruptcy, dissolution, or receivership in which personal information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets.

    Data Retention

    Socurely will retain Service Data in accordance with the applicable MSA, Customer’s use of Services functionality, and as required by applicable law.

    Socurely may retain Other Information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This may include keeping Other Information for the period of time needed for Socurely to pursue legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with (and demonstrate compliance with) legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

    Security

    The security of your personal information is important to us. We employ organizational, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, security risk is inherent in all internet and information technologies and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information. Email, in particular, is an insecure way to transmit personal information. Please take special care regarding what information you send to us via email.

    Children’s Privacy

    The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that anyone under the age of 18 has unlawfully provided Personal Data, We will delete such information from our files as soon as reasonably practicable.

    International Transfer

    Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

    If you are located outside Canada and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to Canada and process it there.

    Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

    The Service may contain links to other websites, and other online services operated by third parties. These links are not an endorsement of, or representation that we are affiliated with, any third party. In addition, our content may be included on web pages or online services that are not associated with us. We do not control third party websites, or online services, and we are not responsible for their actions. Other websites and services follow different rules regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of the other websites and online services you use.

    Your Rights

    You may have the right to request access to Information, as well as to seek to update, delete or correct this Information. If you have registered for an account with us, you may review and update certain personal information in your account profile by logging into the account or contact the Customer who controls your Socurely instance for additional access and assistance. That Customer can work with Socurely’s Legal and Customer Success teams to address your concerns.

    You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email, or by contacting us at privacy@socurely.com. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails.

    Socurely may also process Other Information that constitutes your Personal Data for direct marketing purposes, and you have a right to object to Socurely’s use of your Personal Data for this purpose at any time.

    Changes to this Privacy Policy

    We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Update” date of this Privacy Policy.

    You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted
